A post carousel for Elementor with a light, airy card — blog and magazine content that keeps plenty of white space.
Four issues a year, two hundred pages each, no display advertising. The carousel below is how the shop front works — six covers, no scroll trap.
Everything is sewn, not glued. A Halcyon spine opens flat on a table and stays there — which is the whole point of a reading edition.
Six volumes on what people wore to work. Each one is a single garment, followed from the mill floor to the second-hand rail.

Out-of-print titles stay listed with the print run and the date they sold out, so you know what you are looking for second-hand.
No tracking pixels and no segmented lists — everybody gets the same letter, including the people who work here.

Because that is its default and the reason to pick it. Content Layout ships on Content Top, putting the uppercase category chip, the 24px title and the meta line above the picture with a 32px gap, which reads as a caption over a plate rather than a card with a header. Switching it to Content Bottom gives you the conventional image-first order.
Yes — Title Truncate is a switch unique to the Sapling Carousel among the Sky Addons for Elementor post widgets. It clips the headline to a single line with an ellipsis, which is what keeps a row of slides even when your posts have wildly different title lengths. Leave it off if losing the end of a headline would cost the reader the point.
Sapling slides are auto-height by design, so each card grows to fit its own title, chip and meta — unlike the fixed-frame Sky Addons carousels. Two fixes: switch on Title Truncate so headlines stop varying, or set the Height slider in Carousel Settings to give every slide the same frame.
Between one and six, stored per breakpoint and shipping at three on desktop, two on tablet and one on mobile. Item Gap is responsive too, starting at 20px and closing to 10px on a phone — keep it generous here, because the white space around the cards is what the Sapling look depends on.
Yes. Loop is on by default, so the track runs continuously and pairs with the 5000ms autoplay to make an endless rail. Turn Loop off and it becomes a finite run that stops at the last post instead of wrapping back to the first — the better behaviour when the carousel is really a short, ordered list.
A fraction counter. Bullets are the default and read well up to about ten posts, after which a row of dots becomes meaningless — the Fraction option replaces them with a current-of-total count, and the Progress Bar option with a filling line. Setting it to None is perfectly valid when the arrows already tell the story.
Because Sapling deliberately starts sparse: Show Author and Show Text both ship switched off on this widget, where most of its siblings have them on. Turn them on in the Additional section and the byline and a 15-word excerpt appear. The default is a design decision about white space, not a missing feature.
Sometimes, and this is the honest limit. The chip reads the standard category taxonomy, with built-in mappings for WooCommerce products, The Events Calendar, GiveWP, Charitable and knowledge-base articles. A custom post type using its own taxonomy outside that list will render an empty chip — switch Show Category off for those and let the title carry the card.
No. It is in the free Sky Addons plugin and runs on Elementor free, query builder and Swiper settings included. Nothing here depends on a Pro dynamic tag, a Pro loop template or a theme-builder licence — the widget queries posts itself and renders its own card.
Same airy card, different container and one control apart. The Grid lays the cards in a static one-to-four column layout with 36px row and 26px column gaps as standard and can be paginated; the Carousel puts them on a moving track up to six across. Title Truncate exists only on the Carousel, where uneven slide heights actually matter.
