INTRODUCING

Instagram Feed Grid

Your Instagram feed as a grid in Elementor — recent posts pulled in automatically and styled to fit the rest of your design.

@WOWDEVS · INSTAGRAM

Everything we ship shows up here first.

wowDevs is a small studio in Dhaka building Sky Addons for Elementor. Release days, launch days, sponsor announcements and the occasional Eid greeting go out on Instagram before they reach the changelog.

THE STUDIO

Two products, a handful of people, one grid.

Sky Addons for Elementor and the Ultimate Spin Wheel. Between releases you get the holidays, because we are a handful of people in Dhaka rather than a brand with a content calendar.

CAMPAIGNS

Sale days are announced on the grid, not in your inbox.

Eid, Black Friday, anniversary week — the discount and the coupon code go up as a post, and the link lands in the first comment. No newsletter signup required to find out.

COMMUNITY

We show up where WordPress people are.

The Event

Micro sponsor in 2025, and on the floor for both days.

Product Hunt

Sky Addons went live to the makers community in November.

The inbox

Feature requests arrive as DMs more often than as tickets.

THE YEAR
A YEAR IN POSTS

Releases, Eid mornings and the days in between.

The grid is not only product. Eid mornings, Bijoy Dibosh, the turn of the year and the days that mattered to the people who build this — all of it stays up, in the order it happened.

THE ARCHIVE

One year, fifty posts, in order.

Release days, sponsor weeks and Eid mornings, in the order they actually happened.

That is the whole archive.
BEFORE YOU ASK

The three questions that arrive as DMs.

Always in the first comment of the offer post, never in the caption. Instagram strips links from captions, so the comment is the only place it survives.

Yes. Nothing goes up before it is downloadable. If you see it on the grid, it is in the latest build.

Please do. Most of what shipped in v4.0.0 started as a message rather than a support ticket.

Frequently asked

Instagram Feed Grid

Straight answers about what this one does, where it fits in a real build, and what it costs you to ship.

Still stuck?

Read the documentation for this one, or write to us — a human answers inside a business day.

How do I add an Instagram feed grid to Elementor?

Drop in the Instagram Feed widget from Sky Addons for Elementor and supply a long-lived Instagram access token, saved once under Sky Addons → Settings → API or entered on the widget with API Source set to Custom. The account must be an Instagram Business or Creator account, since only those can issue a usable token.

Does Load More cost extra Instagram API calls?

No. Sky Addons pulls up to 50 media items in one request and caches them, so each Load More click slices the next batch out of that stored set without touching Instagram again. Posts Per Click defaults to 3, the request is nonce-checked, and the token is read server-side from the widget’s own settings.

Do I have to enter my Instagram account ID?

No — it is optional. Leave the Instagram Account ID blank and Sky Addons resolves the feed against the token’s own account, which is what most sites want. Fill it in only when the token has access to more than one account and you need to pin the grid to a specific one.

Is my Instagram feed saved into the WordPress database?

Only as a temporary cache. Sky Addons keeps the response in a WordPress transient keyed to the connected account and copies each image into a folder in your uploads directory. No posts, attachments or custom fields are created, so nothing permanent is left behind once the transient expires.

How many columns does the Instagram grid use?

One to four, set independently per breakpoint, with three as the default. Number of Posts accepts 1 to 50 and starts at 6, so a three-column grid of six tiles is what you get before changing anything — and the same grid collapses to a single column on a phone.

What information does each Instagram tile show?

Profile image, username, caption, likes count and a View Comments link, each with its own switch and all on by default. Caption Word Limit trims the text to 15 words out of the box, and links open in a new tab. Every one of those pieces comes from the API response, not from manual entry.

What happens if Instagram stops returning my posts?

The cached copy keeps serving until its interval expires, so a brief API problem is invisible to visitors. Once the cache lapses and the request still fails — an expired token, or an account that can no longer be read — the grid renders nothing on the front end and shows the reason only in the Elementor editor.

Does the Instagram Feed widget require Elementor Pro?

No. It is a Sky Addons Pro widget and works on a free Elementor install; the API request, caching, local image copies, Load More and all styling are the plugin’s own. You also do not need a second Instagram feed plugin, because nothing here depends on an external relay service.

How is this different from Instagram's own embed code?

An Instagram embed drops in a fixed iframe you cannot restyle and that loads from Instagram on every view. Sky Addons’ Instagram Feed renders native markup you control — columns, spacing, typography, hover effects — from a cached response, with the images mirrored to your own domain so expiring CDN links never break the grid.

Can one page show two different Instagram accounts?

Yes. Set API Source to Custom on a widget and give it its own token, which overrides the global settings for that widget only. Sky Addons keys the cache to the connection and account, so two grids drawing on two accounts store and refresh their feeds entirely separately.
