Tomorrow at Fenwick Road, four slots left

Every appointment carries the clinician, the room and how long it runs. A booking page that hides any of the three makes people phone instead, which costs a great deal more.

Contact

Who to ask, and when they are awake

A contact page that lists one address and one inbox sends every question to the same place. Name the person, name their hours, and half the queue routes itself.

Median first reply 18 minutes in working hours

Saturday, main hall

The whole day in one column

A conference programme is a list group with times in it. Slot, room, speaker, and one line saying who each session is really for.

Last week, in the order it happened

Balances tell you nothing on their own. Five dated rows with the method and the amount answer the question people actually opened the app to ask.

Bands published, not negotiated

The number in the row is the number on the contract. There is no haggling step.

Tracking

Where the parcel actually is

Five scans, oldest at the top, each one with a place and a time. Customers stop emailing to ask where it is when the answer is already sitting on the page.

Leave with a neighbour

Number 14 has agreed to take it if nobody answers the door. A card goes through the letterbox either way.

Frequently asked

List Group

Straight answers about what this one does, where it fits in a real build, and what it costs you to ship.

Read the documentation for this one, or write to us — a human answers inside a business day.

Where can the List Group widget get its items from?

Three places. The List Group widget in Sky Addons for Elementor has a Content Source control set to Repeater, Posts or ACF — so the same list can be hand-typed, generated from a WordPress query, or read out of an Advanced Custom Fields repeater without changing widget.

Can one row in the list have its own background colour?

Yes. Every row in the List Group repeater has a Customize switch that unlocks its own title colour, text colour and a complete background — solid, gradient or image. That is how a single row is highlighted as recommended or unavailable without touching the other rows or writing CSS.

Can each list row show a chevron or arrow on the right?

Yes — each row carries its own Direction icon, chosen from Elementor’s icon library, and a widget-level Show Direction switch turns the whole set on or off. Paired with the per-row Link field, this is what makes a List Group read as a navigable menu rather than a static bullet list.

Can list items use numbers instead of icons?

Yes. Each row has a Media Type choice of Icon, Image or Number, and it is set per row rather than for the whole list. A numbered step, an icon row and a small logo can therefore sit in the same List Group, which is useful for mixed feature-and-step content.

List Group or Tidy List — which should I use?

Pick List Group when rows behave like list items or navigation: each row can carry its own background, colours and a trailing direction icon. Pick the Sky Addons Tidy List when the layout matters more — it can run inline instead of stacked and place the marker left, right, above or below the text.

Can I trim the description under each list item?

Yes. Show Text reveals a Content Length field that trims each row to a set number of words, defaulting to twenty, and a Read More Text field appends your own wording to the trimmed line. Every row is cut to the same length, which keeps a generated list visually even.

Can the list show posts from only one category?

Yes — the List Group has a full query builder. Source covers every public post type on the site plus Manual Selection, Current Query and Related; you can include or exclude by author or by term, set a limit and an offset, filter by date, and order by title, ID, date, author, comment count, menu order or random.

Can I build the list from an ACF repeater field?

Yes. Set Content Source to ACF and the widget asks for the ACF Repeater Field name plus a Title Field Mapping and a Content Field Mapping. Sky Addons then renders each repeater row as a list item on whichever post is being viewed, so editors maintain the list in Advanced Custom Fields, not in Elementor.

Does the Sky Addons List Group widget need Elementor Pro?

No. List Group runs on free Elementor, including the post query and the ACF source — those come from Sky Addons rather than from Elementor’s Pro dynamic tags. Advanced Custom Fields does need to be installed for the ACF source itself to have anything to read.

What heading tag do the list item titles use?

Each item title renders as an h3 by default, changeable to h1 through h6 or to div, span or p from a single control that applies to the whole list. A twelve-row List Group would otherwise put twelve h3 headings into the page outline, so div or span is usually the better choice for a sidebar list.
