A live search field for Elementor that returns results as visitors type, grouped by type, with popular searches built in.
Two characters is the whole trigger. Thumbnails, meta, excerpt and a grouped result list arrive over AJAX while the visitor is still on the second word — and the eight sections below are the eight places that field actually belongs.
Instantly book world-class audio engineers and recording studios.
A booking marketplace opens on the field, not on a menu. Two characters in and the panel is already listing people.
Repairs, setups and callouts from people who are actually near you.

This is the actual header of this site — same logo, same menu, same button — with the field dropped in beside them. It stays a pill at 300px, opens its panel over the page, and searches titles only so the list stays short.
Docs are read by people who already know the word they want. One character is enough to fire it, thumbnails and excerpts come off, and the panel turns into a keyboard jump list.
Docs › Getting started › Installation
Upload the plugin, activate it, and every widget appears under the Sky Addons category in the Elementor panel. Nothing else needs configuring — the extensions attach themselves to Elementor’s own Advanced tab.
Open Sky Addons › Widgets. The dashboard can switch individual modules off to keep the panel short, and a module switched off there will not appear in Elementor.
Licence activation is separate from installation. The plugin runs without a key; the key is what turns updates and the Pro widget set back on after an upgrade.
Category and date selects sit inside the same shell as the field, so a reader on a 55-post archive scopes the search to Photography, this month without a page load.
One query, two lists. The panel bands its results by post type and caps each band, so a page never buries a post — the behaviour a ⌘K palette needs.
The empty state is the whole point here. Real queries other visitors ran sit on the page before anyone types, so a dead link recovers the session instead of ending it.
Type what you were after, or take one of the routes below.
The Query Builder narrows the index itself, not the results. This field is wired to two categories and to Posts only — pages, media and every other category are invisible to it no matter what is typed.

21 of 190 entries are inside this scope. Everything else stays invisible to it.
The header pill, the docs jump list, the archive filter bar, the grouped palette, the 404 rescue and the scoped field are one widget with different switches.

Yes. Sky Addons’ Advanced Search widget for Elementor drops results into a panel under the field as the visitor types — the first request fires after 2 characters by default, and typing is debounced so a fast typist triggers one query, not ten. No page reload and no Elementor Pro needed.
Any public post type registered on the site, chosen as a multi-select. Sky Addons for Elementor defaults the Advanced Search widget to posts and pages, but products, portfolio items, courses or docs can be added or searched on their own — so one field can serve a shop and another a knowledge base.
Yes, and this is something WordPress core cannot do on its own. Sky Addons’ Advanced Search widget matches a typed SKU and promotes those products to the top, and each product row can show price, SKU and stock status beside the title.
It works with it. Sky Addons for Elementor detects Relevanssi automatically and hands the query to it when it is active, falling back to a standard WordPress query when it is not — so you keep Relevanssi’s ranking and stemming while the Advanced Search widget supplies the live panel and the styling.
It is designed not to. Sky Addons’ Advanced Search widget caches each identical query for five minutes and clears the cache when content changes, and the Search In Content control lets you drop post body text from the query — titles and excerpts only — which is the expensive part on a large site.
Yes. Turn on Group By Post Type and Sky Addons for Elementor prints a heading per type and gives each its own slice — 3 rows each by default — so one busy post type cannot fill the whole panel. The overall result count is capped at 20.
Yes. The Advanced Search widget in Sky Addons for Elementor records real searches made on your own site and can list the most frequent ones under the empty field. It keeps a rolling top 20 and shows up to the number you set, 8 by default — no external service is involved.
Yes. Sky Addons’ Advanced Search widget can render a category dropdown and a date filter beside the field, with your own wording for the all-categories option. Both narrow the same live query, so the panel updates without ever leaving the page.
Yes — a Query Builder section lets you include or exclude specific authors and taxonomy terms, and exclude individual posts outright. Sky Addons for Elementor applies these on the server, so a hidden landing page or an archived author stays out of the results whatever the visitor types.
Yes. Sky Addons’ Advanced Search widget wires the field as a combobox — arrow keys move through results, Home and End jump to the ends, Enter opens the highlighted one and Escape closes the panel — and it keeps the expanded state and the active row exposed to screen readers.
You control it. Sky Addons for Elementor prints your own no-results wording in the panel, and the Advanced Search widget can also reveal a section elsewhere on the page — a contact block, a popular-products row — only while a search is empty, so a dead end becomes a next step.
Neither. The Advanced Search widget in Sky Addons for Elementor is a complete instant-search field on free Elementor: the results panel, the filters, the WooCommerce meta and every colour, spacing and typography setting live in the Elementor panel, with a footer link through to the full results page when someone wants more.
