Line Chart

Straight answers about what this one does, where it fits in a real build, and what it costs you to ship.

Read the documentation for this one, or write to us — a human answers inside a business day.

Can I make the line curved or perfectly straight?

Both, from one Line Tension slider. The Line Chart widget in Sky Addons for Elementor runs the slider from 0 to 1 in steps of 0.1: set 0 for straight segments between points, and leave it untouched for the smooth 0.5 curve the widget falls back to. The setting applies to every line on the chart.

How do I draw a dashed line in an Elementor line chart?

Each Dataset row in the Sky Addons Line Chart has a Dash Border field that takes comma-separated pixel lengths. Entering 10, 5 draws a 10px dash followed by a 5px gap; leaving it blank keeps the line solid. Because it sits on the row, one line can be dashed while another beside it stays solid.

Can I turn an Elementor line chart into an area chart?

It already is one by default. Every Dataset row in the Sky Addons Line Chart carries a Background Fill switch that is on out of the box, flooding the space under that line with the row Background Colour. Switch it off row by row when you want bare lines, or mix filled and unfilled series.

What shapes can the data points on a line chart use?

Eight. The Point Style control in the Sky Addons Line Chart widget offers circle, cross, dash, line, rectangle, rounded rectangle, rotated rectangle and triangle, with a Point Border Width slider up to 20px and a Point Colour set per Dataset row. Circle is the default marker.

Can each line have its own point shape and curve?

No — a genuine limit to design around. In the Sky Addons Line Chart, Point Style, Point Border Width, Line Tension and Line Border Width are single widget-level controls that apply to every series at once. What does vary per Dataset row is colour, point colour, dash pattern and the fill switch.

Does the Elementor Line Chart widget need Elementor Pro?

No. The Line Chart widget belongs to Sky Addons Pro and runs on the free version of Elementor; Elementor Pro is a different product and is not part of the requirement. It paints into its own canvas element, so it inherits nothing from the theme and behaves the same on any WordPress theme.

Can I compare several lines at the same point on the chart?

Yes. Add one Dataset row per series in the Sky Addons Line Chart widget for Elementor and each gets its own Label, line colour and legend entry. Hovering a position on the x-axis opens a single tooltip listing every series value at that point, so two or three trends can be read against each other.

Should I use a line chart or a bar chart for my data?

Use a line chart for a continuous trend across ordered intervals — months of traffic, quarterly revenue, temperature over a week. Reach for the Sky Addons Bar Chart instead when the categories are separate things being compared, such as products or survey answers. Both widgets ship in the same plugin.

Can the line chart x-axis show real dates or timestamps?

No. The Label Values field in the Sky Addons Line Chart takes a plain comma-separated list of text labels and spaces them evenly along the axis. There is no date scale, so an irregular gap between two readings is not drawn as a wider gap; readings you plot are assumed to be evenly spaced.

How many values should each line in the chart have?

As many as there are entries in Label Values, which ships with eight months by default. The Sky Addons Line Chart pairs the first number in a Dataset row with the first label, the second with the second, and so on; a row with fewer numbers simply stops early, leaving the rest of the axis blank.
